Waterton is the smallest and most remote of the Canadian Rocky Mountain National Parks. Wateron Village is a more sane version of Banff and most trails are within comfortable distance of the village.  The most interesting trail we had a chance to hike is the Crypt Lake trail.  Crypt Lake trailhead is accessible by a short boat ride from Waterton Village.
